Richardson's City Plan Commission is set Thursday to consider dividing the 66.56-acre former Fujitsu campus at Telecom Parkway and Breckinridge Boulevard into two lots, according to the agenda posted Oct. 2.
The commission meets at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Multipurpose Room (CH 157) at City Hall, 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd.
The replat
The owner, HIG/DSP Richardson Owner LLC, has asked to replat what is now Lot 1B of the Fujitsu Campus Addition as the DSP Richardson Innovation Campus Addition, Lots 1 and 2. The property covers 2791, 2801 and 2821 Telecom Parkway, at the southwest corner of the intersection.
The staff report says the replat would remove a 40-foot building setback line along the surrounding roads and add and give up several easements to serve an industrial development. With that platted setback gone, the planned development zoning that governs the site (Ordinance 4553) would still set building setbacks. New 15-foot water and sanitary sewer easements and a private electrical easement would be dedicated.
Staff said the plat meets city and state requirements, and it sits on the consent agenda as a final decision for the commission.
The staff report does not name a tenant. The city said earlier this year that Celestica, which makes data center infrastructure, is expanding at 2801 Telecom Parkway by renewing leases on two buildings and leasing a 343,000-square-foot building under construction, for about 1 million square feet through 2036.
The city described that deal as a redevelopment milestone for the former Fujitsu campus and said it is expected to keep nearly 400 jobs and add almost 2,300.
