GEICO has registered plans with the state for about $6 million in interior work on two suites at Galatyn Commons in Richardson, covering more than 85,000 square feet in all.
The two filings, posted in the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation's architectural barriers database, carry the insurer's name as the project name. Each describes a "new tenant fit out" with office, meeting, training and support space at Building D, 1011 Galatyn Parkway.
What the filings show
Suite 500 covers 42,751 square feet and Suite 700 covers 42,472 square feet. Each is listed at an estimated cost of $3 million.
The scope for both includes structural supports for a rated door system and an operable partition, changes to the existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to fit a new layout, and new restrooms.
Both projects list a start date of May 15, 2026, and a completion date of Nov. 10, 2026, and both show a status of "Project Registered." The filings say the work is privately funded and that the tenant is paying for it.
The building's owner is listed as Richardson Office LLC, with a New York address. OTJ Architects of Dallas is the design firm. The registrations cover accessibility review; the state's project pages note that an owner must get an accessibility inspection within a year after construction is finished.
They do not say how many employees would work in the space or whether the offices replace another GEICO location.
