Richardson, Texas — Moussa Cissé will remain with the Mavericks after the club matched the Knicks’ offer sheet.

The match means Cissé cannot be traded without his consent for one year and cannot be dealt to New York during that period, according to ESPN.

Cissé averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in just under 14 minutes per game last season, ESPN reported. He entered the offseason as a restricted free agent after Dallas extended a qualifying offer.

ESPN reported that the offer was worth $4.7 million over two years. The report said Dallas completed its match before the deadline that followed Cissé’s signing of the Knicks sheet.

Richardson is part of the Dallas-area fan market that follows the Mavericks.
