Cisco, listed among Richardson’s major employers by the city’s economic development department, announced new Webex and workplace tools Oct. 7 at its WebexOne conference in Austin.
The company described AI agents that could join team conversations, meetings and calls to carry out tasks across Webex and other applications. It also said an upcoming Claude integration would use shared team information to help with analysis and coordinated work. Cisco said organizations would have controls over agents’ access and actions.
Cisco’s announcement included tools for planning offices and monitoring how buildings, networks and meeting equipment are used. It said RoomOS 27, a software update for its collaboration devices, is scheduled for November.
