Richardson, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.9816 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 19, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.9820 yesterday. That is up from $3.8829 a week ago but higher than $3.7018 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9516, while the national average is $4.4759. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 28 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8339, drivers are paying about 115 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.9873 per gallon, AAA reported.
