Richardson, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.9214 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 24, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.9500 yesterday. That is down from $3.9493 a week ago and higher than $3.5862 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9569, while the national average is $4.4825. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying below the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 34 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7375, drivers are paying about 118 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.9196 per gallon, AAA reported.
