Richardson teacher arrested on felony child solicitation charge

A Richardson high school teacher was arrested at his home on a third-degree felony charge of online solicitation of a minor.

Richardson police have arrested a local high school teacher on a felony charge related to the online solicitation of a minor. Michael Ralph Fouse, 41, was taken into custody without incident at his residence on Friday, according to the Richardson Police Department. He faces a third-degree felony charge for the alleged conduct.

The investigation into Fouse began on August 20 following a tip received from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Fouse is identified as a teacher at Richardson Berkner High School. Police stated that the case remains under active investigation.

In a news release, Richardson police noted that detectives are coordinating with Richardson ISD to collect additional information and advance the inquiry. The department has asked the public to assist by contacting them at (972) 744-4893 if they have any relevant information.
