Richardson ISD has announced the selection of 24 junior and senior student athletes to serve on the 2026-27 Student-Athlete Leadership Team, known as SALT. The group represents all four high schools in the district, with members nominated by their coaches for their leadership and commitment to their respective teams.
The team is led by Lonnie Jordan, Executive Director of Athletics, along with Assistant Athletic Directors Kevin Pitts and Lindsay Ledford. SALT members will meet monthly to develop leadership skills, explore mental health and wellness, and learn how to help create a positive team culture.
The 2026-27 roster includes six students from each of the district's high schools. At Berkner High School, the selected athletes are Derrick Mason, Quillan Saulsberry, Chris Miheaye, Chloe Ruhn, Emory Horn, and Marilly Casas Ortega. Pearce High School is represented by Grayton McMillian, Max Levin, Aidan Maxwell, Mobereola Taiwo, Faira Francis, and Nathan Ginn.
