Richardson residents have three more weeks to nominate a property for the city’s 2026 Community Revitalization Awards. The city announced Oct. 2 that nominations will remain open through Sunday, Oct. 25, extending the previous Oct. 4 deadline.

The awards recognize improvements to residential and commercial properties. Eligible work includes substantial exterior refurbishment, redevelopment of an existing property and construction on a vacant parcel in an older neighborhood or district.

Anyone may nominate a property, including its owner. The city’s announcement links to the program’s nomination information.

Richardson created the awards in 1994 and says more than 350 properties have been recognized since then.
