The Dallas Cowboys expect Jonathan Bullard to miss three to five weeks with a calf injury and Jalen Thompson to be out at least four weeks because of a hamstring issue. Both injuries occurred during Dallas' first three regular-season games, with the latest coming in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Rio.
Cornerback Shavon Revel also sustained knee and ankle problems in that game. Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Tuesday that Revel was progressing well and could return to practice this week. His availability for the Week 4 game against Houston remains uncertain, and Dallas has not confirmed that he will play.
Bullard had already missed most of training camp because of an earlier injury. Thompson could join safety P.J. Locke on injured reserve with a designation to return.
The Cowboys do not expect Cobie Durant to travel to South Texas while recovering from a hamstring injury. Malik Hooker, who fractured his forearm in the season opener, may need more time, while DeMarvion Overshown could resume practicing after missing two games with a hamstring injury.
Dallas has worked out several players, including former Cowboys safety Juanyeh Thomas, as first-year defensive coordinator Christian Parker prepares for a visit to the still-winless Texans.
