Cowboys safety Jalen Thompson is expected to miss a minimum of four weeks with a hamstring injury, executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday. Dallas has not said whether Thompson will go on injured reserve, but he is considered a potential candidate for the list.
Thompson left during the second quarter of the Cowboys' 34-31 loss to the Ravens in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. His injury adds to Dallas' absences at safety. Malik Hooker has sat out the last two games because of a forearm injury, while P.J. Locke went on injured reserve Saturday with a foot injury.
Thompson had played every defensive snap through Dallas' first nine-plus quarters of the season before exiting. He recorded 17 tackles during that stretch.
