Dallas will be without cornerback Cobie Durant, safeties Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke, and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown when it faces Baltimore at Maracanã Stadium. The Cowboys and Ravens are both 1-1, and Dallas is designated as the home team for the 3:25 p.m. CT game. Sports.yahoo.com published the report.
All four players missed Dallas practices Wednesday and Thursday and will not travel to Rio de Janeiro. Durant, who joined the Cowboys this offseason after four seasons with the Rams, started the first two games and played 87 defensive snaps before injuring his hamstring in last Sunday’s win over Washington. He was expected to miss multiple weeks.
Hooker fractured his forearm in the season opener against the New York Giants after starting and playing 12 defensive snaps. Locke replaced him in the lineup against Washington, taking 31 snaps before tearing the plantar fascia in his foot. Overshown, who made seven tackles before leaving the opener with a hamstring strain, will miss his second consecutive game.
Jaishawn Barham is expected to continue in a larger role, while second-year cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. is also expected to play more with Durant out.
