Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Tyler Smith is set to undergo surgery for his thumb injury, according to a report by Joe Hoyt from The Dallas Morning News. The 25-year-old is expected to be unavailable for four to six weeks and may soon be placed on injured reserve.

With Smith out of the lineup, T.J. Bass is anticipated to step in as the starting left guard for the Cowboys as they gear up for the upcoming regular season.
