Noah Brown, a former wide receiver with the Dallas Cowboys, has officially joined the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the team on Sunday. This addition brings a seasoned and physical presence to the Raiders' receiving lineup, prompting the release of defensive tackle Benito Jones to make room on the roster.
Brown's career has been marked by challenges, including injuries that kept him out of 19 games while he played for the Washington Commanders. Nevertheless, when healthy, he demonstrated his skills with 40 receptions totaling 536 yards and one touchdown, averaging 13.4 yards per catch.
After being selected by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft following his college career at Ohio State, he became known for his versatility and reliability. During the 2022 season, he contributed significantly, catching 43 passes for 555 yards and three touchdowns, aiding quarterback Dak Prescott.
Following his time in Dallas, Brown moved to the Houston Texans, where he had a successful season, recording 33 receptions for 567 yards and two touchdowns, with an impressive average of 17.2 yards per reception. Over his NFL career, he has achieved a total of 155 receptions, accumulating 2,083 yards and six touchdowns.
The Raiders do not expect him to be the primary target in their offense, but his experience and toughness could enhance their receiving options. This signing provides Brown with a renewed opportunity to advance his NFL career after facing setbacks due to injuries.
