TCU could regain a key offensive player when it opens Big 12 play against UCF on Sept. 26. Jordan Dwyer has sat out the Horned Frogs’ first three games because of a foot injury, but coach Sonny Dykes said the team anticipates having him available for the matchup after TCU’s 31-7 win over Arkansas State.
Dykes also said Dwyer’s return would give the team a lift.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and was among the Horned Frogs’ most productive offensive players in 2025. He started all 12 regular-season games, recording 54 receptions, 730 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. In his first game for TCU, against North Carolina, Dwyer caught nine passes for 136 yards and one touchdown.
With Dwyer sidelined, Ed Small has emerged as one of TCU’s leading receivers. Tight end Kari Ashley also made contributions against Arkansas State, giving quarterback Jaden Craig multiple targets during the opening games. TCU enters conference play with a 2-1 record, while Dwyer’s participation against UCF remains expected rather than confirmed.
