The Texans have ruled defensive end Jadeveon Clowney out of their game against the Bengals because of a knee injury sustained while preparing for Week 2.
The absence follows ankle and hip issues Clowney was dealing with before Houston’s 36-31 loss to the Bills last Sunday. The knee problem marks his third injury in three weeks, and he did not practice during the second week of the season.
Dominique Robinson and Sabastain Harash are expected to share the rotational work at edge rusher in Clowney’s absence. They are set to play behind Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter. No additional details were provided.
