Game Overview

The Texas A&M Aggies secured a commanding 34-7 victory over the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Kyle Field in College Station. The win improved Texas A&M’s record to 3-2, while Arkansas fell to 2-3. Before a crowd of 108,657 spectators, the Aggies controlled the contest from the opening drive, establishing an early lead that never wavered.

First Half Dominance

Texas A&M set the tone immediately in the first quarter. KJ Edwards provided the initial spark with a 20-yard rushing touchdown, giving the home team a 14-0 advantage after David Olano’s kick. Arkansas responded briefly when Carsyn Baker punched in from two yards out, making the score 14-7.

However, the Razorbacks’ offense stalled for the remainder of the half. Marcel Reed added another rushing touchdown from one yard out to extend the lead to 21-7 before David Olano kicked a 57-yard field goal just before halftime, pushing the margin to 24-7.

Third and Fourth Quarter Control

The Aggies continued their offensive momentum in the third quarter. KJ Edwards found the end zone again, this time from three yards out, increasing the score to 31-7. Texas A&M’s defense held firm against Arkansas’s attempts to mount a comeback.

The Razorbacks’ lone bright spot was Chris Marshall, who caught seven passes for 76 yards and one touchdown, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.

In the fourth quarter, David Olano sealed the game with a 50-yard field goal, bringing the final score to 34-7. Arkansas managed no additional points, unable to breach the Aggies’ defense or special teams coverage.

Key Performances

KJ Edwards was the standout player for Texas A&M, contributing significantly on the ground. He recorded 11 carries for 66 yards and scored two touchdowns. Marcel Reed also contributed offensively with 13 completions out of 19 attempts for 170 passing yards. Kiotti Armstrong made a notable impact with one reception for 54 yards.

For Arkansas, KJ Jackson threw for 111 yards on 13-of-25 passing, including one touchdown and one interception. Sutton Smith provided some ground game support with six carries for 41 yards. Despite Marshall’s receiving efforts, the Razorbacks could not generate enough offense to challenge Texas A&M’s consistent scoring output.

Final Thoughts

The Aggies’ balanced attack and disciplined defense proved too much for Arkansas, who struggled to maintain possession and sustain drives throughout the afternoon. With this result, Texas A&M strengthens its position in the standings, while Arkansas faces a challenging path forward with their record now at 2-3.
