Decisive Moment
Wyatt Langford provided the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning, singling to left field to score Osuna and complete a remarkable comeback for the Texas Rangers. The hit lifted the Rangers to a 7-6 final victory against the Los Angeles Angels at Globe Life Field in Arlington on Friday, July 10, 2026.
The win improved the Rangers’ record to 47-46, while the Angels fell to 37-57.
The Comeback
The game began with the Angels seizing control early. In the top of the first inning, Starling Nimmo homered to left center, a 394-foot shot that gave Los Angeles an early 1-0 lead. The Angels added another run later in the frame when Adolis Garcia singled, allowing Nathaniel Lowe to score, making it 2-0.
Los Angeles extended their advantage in the third inning. Mike Trout grounded out, scoring Zach Neto, followed by a two-run home run by Evan Carter to center field that put the Angels up 4-1. A solo home run by Josh Jung in the fourth inning made the score 5-1 in favor of the visitors.
The Rangers began chipping away at the deficit in the sixth inning. A ground-rule double by Josh Smith allowed one run to score, narrowing the gap to 5-2. The turning point arrived in the seventh inning.
The Rangers loaded the bases and capitalized on a series of hits. A single by Marcus Semien scored one run, followed by a two-run single by Corey Seager that tied the game at 5-5. Adolis Garcia then singled to center, scoring another run to give Texas a 6-5 lead.
