Durán Drives Off Skid
The Texas Rangers snapped a four-game losing streak with a 7-4 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, fueled by Ezequiel Durán’s offensive output and timely pitching. Durán provided two separate scoring plays for Texas, including a home run that tied the game and a double that put the Rangers ahead for good.
Milwaukee took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. Jackson Chourio singled to left field, allowing Evan Mitchell to score, while Luke Voit Bauers advanced to second. The Brewers extended their advantage when Bauers reached base again, but Texas answered in the second inning. Josh Jung hit a ground-rule double that brought Nathaniel Lowe home, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Durán leveled the contest in the third inning with a 410-foot home run to left-center field. The momentum shifted further in the fifth when Durán doubled again, driving in Corey Seager and Andrew Benintendi to give Texas a 4-2 lead. Pederson added an insurance run in the sixth with a 380-foot home run to right field.
Pitching Struggles Define Early Go
Texas starter Kumar Rocker faced early trouble, allowing four hits and two earned runs over three innings while striking out seven. He was supported by Tyler Alexander, who earned the win (5-2) by pitching scoreless relief in two innings without allowing a hit.
For Milwaukee, Dustin May took the loss (6-9) after giving up four earned runs on six hits in 4.1 innings. Grant Anderson allowed one earned run over two innings, while Bryse Wilson pitched 2.2 scoreless innings to preserve the lead before it slipped away.
