Angels rout Rangers 13-1 behind Adell’s two homers

Adell’s first home run came in the fourth inning, a 359-foot shot to right field that scored Luis Grissom. He added a three-run homer in the fifth inning, blasting a ball 433 feet to center field to score Mike Trout and Grissom. Walbert Urena started for Los Angeles, throwing four innings, allowing one hit and no earned runs while striking out three. Ryan Zeferjahn, Jose Fermin, and Mitch Farris each pitched one inning of relief.

For the Rangers, MacKenzie Gore took the loss, giving up seven earned runs on nine hits in five innings while striking out seven. Gavin Collyer, Ben Peoples, Robby Ahlstrom, and Higashioka each pitched one inning of relief for Texas.
