Pitching Dominance Sets Tone

Logan Henderson established early control for the Milwaukee Brewers, pitching seven innings while allowing just one hit and one earned run. His performance included seven strikeouts against two walks, securing his ninth win of the season and improving his record to 9-2.

Aaron Ashby provided a scoreless eighth inning with two strikeouts before DL Hall closed out the game in the ninth, recording three more strikeouts without surrendering a hit or a walk.

For Texas, Cody Bradford started on the mound but struggled to contain the Brewers' offense. He pitched 5 2/3 innings, giving up nine hits and three earned runs while walking two batters. Tyler Alexander, Chase Silseth, and Adam Macko relieved him, combining for 2 1/3 additional innings where they allowed five more hits and three earned runs.

Early Runs Define Game

Milwaukee took an early lead in the first inning when Jasson Dominguez grounded out to shortstop, allowing Jackson Chourio to score from second base. Christian Yelich then doubled to center field, driving in Chourio to make it 2-0 Brewers.

The Rangers responded in the third inning when Josh Jung homered to left field, cutting the deficit to 2-1. However, Milwaukee regained momentum in the sixth inning when Adolis Garcia singled to center, scoring Nathaniel Lowe who had reached base earlier.

Late Inning Explosion

The Brewers extended their lead significantly in the seventh and eighth innings. In the seventh, Jake Bauers singled to center field, bringing home one run to make it 3-1. The offense continued its production in the eighth inning with two more runs.

Jackson Chourio singled to left, scoring a runner from second, and later, Jake Bauers hit a sacrifice fly to center field to drive in another run.

Final Score and Records

The final score stood at 6-1 in favor of Milwaukee. The game was played on Friday, August 28, 2026, at American Family Field with an attendance of 41,620. With this victory, the Brewers improved their record to 84-51, while the Rangers fell to 66-69.
