The New York Mets secured a 6-3 victory over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday, September 23, at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The win improved the Mets' record to 72-85, while the Rangers fell to 78-79. Attendance for the contest was 24,191 fans.

Alvarez Powers the Offense

Francisco Alvarez was the standout performer for the visitors, driving in four runs. In the third inning, a single to center by Juan Soto scored Alvarez, giving the Mets a 1-0 lead. The Rangers tied the game at 1-1 when Jung doubled to right, allowing Jansen to score. However, the Mets retook the lead in the fourth inning.
