UT Dallas rallies late in two sets to beat Lubbock Christian

The Comets survived set points in the third and fourth sets to earn a 3–1 road win Saturday.

UT Dallas twice rallied from late deficits to beat Lubbock Christian 3–1 on Saturday, Oct. 10, winning both of the final two sets beyond 25 points.

The Comets won 25–16, 22–25, 27–25, 26–24 at Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock. Richardson’s university team improved to 9–8 overall and 5–3 in the Lone Star Conference, according to Lubbock Christian’s match report.

After the teams split the opening sets, UT Dallas trailed 24–22 in the third before taking five of the next six points. In the fourth, the Comets faced another set point at 24–23 and won three consecutive points to finish the match.

UT Dallas recorded 64 kills. Lubbock Christian fell to 8–11 overall and 4–5 in conference play.
