Fourth-Inning Surge Changes Game Dynamics
The game remained tightly contested through the early innings before a flurry of action in the fourth inning shifted momentum. Texas initially took a 1-0 lead in the second on a Wade Jr. single that allowed Altuve to score. The Rangers tied the game in the third when Langford homered to left field, followed by a two-run single from Trammell that put Texas ahead 3-1.
However, the Astros responded immediately in the bottom of the fourth. Osuna singled to right, allowing Carter to score and putting himself in scoring position. Díaz then executed a sacrifice bunt to move Osuna to second, and Walker reached on an infield single to score Peña, tying the game at 3-3.
