Pedestrian dies after Dallas hit-and-run Wednesday night

Dallas is about 12 miles south of Richardson.

A pedestrian has died following a hit-and-run incident in Dallas on Wednesday night, according to police. The crash occurred near the intersection of South Buckner Boulevard and Elam Road.

Officers arrived at the scene just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to find a major accident. Authorities stated that a vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was then transported to a hospital where they later died.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision did not remain at the scene. Police have not yet identified the suspect or the vehicle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Further details regarding the identity of the victim or the status of the investigation were not provided.
