Zachary Christian Neu, 32, of Richardson, was indicted on two federal counts of enticement of a minor, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas. The indictment, returned June 10 in the Sherman Division, accuses the former Wylie East High School assistant principal of communicating with two underage girls through digital platforms.
Prosecutors allege Neu began messaging one victim on TikTok around March, later shifting to text messages. After she graduated in late May, he continued contacting her despite knowing she was under 18. Wylie police intervened after the girl’s mother consented to an undercover operation using her online identity. Neu was arrested June 4 after providing a meeting location and was followed from the school.
A second victim came forward after her mother saw news reports and contacted police. Law enforcement found corroborating messages on Neu’s phone. The case, investigated by Wylie Police and the FBI, is part of Project Safe Childhood. Assistant U.S. Attorney Calli Bailey is prosecuting. Neu appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Aileen Durrett on June 17. His attorney did not immediately return a request for comment.
