Tim Legh-Page has been sworn in as the new Place 4 councilmember for Sachse, a city located approximately 8 miles east of Richardson. The swearing-in ceremony took place during a special city council meeting on Wednesday, June 24, following the canvassing of election results.
Legh-Page received the oath of office from City Secretary Leah Granger. His wife, Rachel, and their three children, Brecklyn, Reid, and Taryn, were present to witness the event. The council had officially declared the election outcome the day before the ceremony.
Legh-Page secured the seat after defeating Gurvinder Singh in a runoff election held on June 13. According to the certified results, Legh-Page received 1,217 votes, which accounted for 53.75% of the total. Singh received 1,047 votes, or 46.25% of the vote share.
This victory marks Legh-Page’s entry into the council, filling the Place 4 position that was previously held by Chance Lindsey. Lindsey did not seek reelection. Prior to the special meeting, the council held a brief reception in the City Hall Council Chambers to recognize Lindsey’s service to the community.
