Plano, located approximately 5 miles north of Richardson, is among several North Texas communities hosting a diverse array of events throughout July. The schedule includes major concerts, sports viewing parties, and holiday festivities in Plano, Frisco, Dallas, and surrounding areas.
Independence Day activities are prominent across the region. In Addison, the Addison Kaboom Town! event takes place on July 3 at Addison Circle Park, featuring an air show and a 30-minute fireworks display. Frisco offers two distinct celebrations on July 4.
The Freedom Fest Block Party at Riders Field includes a classic car show, food vendors, and a RoughRiders game, concluding with fireworks around 10 p.m. Later that evening, the Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa hosts Fireworks on the Fairway, which features a performance by Darius Rucker and a fireworks show.
Sports fans have multiple opportunities to engage with the FIFA World Cup. From June 11 through July 19, Fair Park in Dallas serves as the official fan hub, offering live match screenings and interactive experiences. On July 4, the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco will screen the Round of 16 matches alongside soccer-themed activities.
The tournament continues on July 14 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the semifinal match.
Music festivals and concerts are also scheduled for the month. The Outlaw Music Festival occurs on July 3 at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, headlined by Willie Nelson with performances by Wilco, Sheryl Crow, and others.
In Plano, the Tropics on the Tracks event runs from July 17 to 20 at McCall Plaza, transforming the downtown area with live music and shaded lounges. The Summer Jam Golf Festival takes place on July 27 at the PGA District in Frisco, offering free golf games and vendor demos.
