Bradford, Rangers pitching blank Giants in 6-0 win

Bradford sets shutout pace

Cody Bradford worked 4 1/3 scoreless innings, and the Texas Rangers beat the San Francisco Giants 6-0 on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Globe Life Field.

Bradford allowed five hits and two walks while striking out five. Texas used five pitchers in the shutout, with Tyler Alexander earning the win after 1 2/3 innings with no hits, no walks and three strikeouts.

Texas breaks through in the third

The Rangers scored all the runs they needed in the bottom of the third. Nimmo singled to right to bring in Langford for a 1-0 lead.

Foscue followed later in the inning with a triple to left, scoring Nimmo and Burger to make it 3-0. Díaz then doubled to left, driving in Foscue and extending the lead to 4-0.

Carson Whisenhunt took the loss for San Francisco. He allowed four earned runs on five hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings, with four strikeouts.

Nimmo adds the only homer

Nimmo pushed the lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth with a 350-foot home run to left. It was the only home run of the game.

Carson Seymour allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk over 2 2/3 innings for San Francisco, striking out two. Jason Foley pitched one inning with no hits, no runs, no walks and one strikeout.

Texas added its final run in the bottom of the eighth. Lopez singled to center, scoring Burger and moving Pederson to second for a 6-0 lead.

Tristan Beck gave up one earned run on two hits and one walk in one inning, with one strikeout.

Texas staff finishes it

Robby Ahlstrom pitched one inning for Texas, allowing one hit with no walks and one strikeout. Chase Silseth allowed one hit and one walk in one inning, striking out one. Cole Winn allowed one hit in one inning and did not record a strikeout.

The announced attendance was 26,098. The Rangers improved to 57-58, while the Giants fell to 48-67.
