The Department of the Interior has issued a solicitation for a potential $484 million Enterprise Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract focused on Cisco networking solutions. The opportunity is divided into two distinct functional areas, each with specific requirements and estimated values.
Functional Area 1 focuses on software licensing and support services. This segment includes department-wide Cisco enterprise agreements, license provisioning, and SmartNet renewal management. The department estimates this portion of the contract to be worth $149 million. DOI plans to make a single best-value award for this functional area.
Functional Area 2 covers the procurement and installation of Cisco hardware at DOI sites. This segment is estimated to be worth $335 million. The department intends to issue up to nine awards for this area, with two of those set aside specifically for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises.
To be eligible, offerors must hold Cisco Preferred Partner designations in networking, security, and services. The contract structure includes a five-year base ordering period scheduled to begin on September 30, followed by a five-year option period that extends through September 2036.
Proposals are due on July 31. Interested companies must submit any questions to the contracting officer by July 15. The evaluation process will proceed in three phases: advisory feedback, compliance review, and full proposal assessment. Companies seeking feedback under the voluntary Phase I advisory process must respond by July 10.
DOI intends to award a Day-One task order in each functional area, contingent on the offeror winning the corresponding IDIQ. The solicitation aims to streamline the acquisition of Cisco enterprise solutions across the department.
