Qualys has been named a launch partner for Cisco Cloud Control Studio, a new unified platform designed for agentic IT and security operations. The partnership was announced alongside the platform's unveiling at Cisco Live Las Vegas 2026. Qualys will be integrated into the system starting at general availability.

Cisco describes the new platform as a secure environment for the agentic era. It combines networking, security, artificial intelligence infrastructure, observability, and collaboration into a single operating model. The goal is to allow security and IT teams to investigate, orchestrate, and resolve issues within one environment, rather than managing outputs from multiple separate tools.

The platform features an integration hub called Cloud Control Studio, which connects third-party tools using the Model Context Protocol. This open standard allows AI agents to access data and actions from external systems securely. The workspace where these interactions occur is known as Cisco AI Canvas.

It serves as a multiplayer environment where human operators and AI agents collaborate on live investigations and correlate signals across different domains in real time.

Qualys brings its asset and vulnerability intelligence platform to the ecosystem. The company states it has spent over two decades building this system, which consolidates asset discovery, vulnerability detection, risk quantification, and automated remediation. The integration aims to provide real-time visibility into attack surfaces across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Key capabilities included in the partnership involve unified asset visibility and hyper-prioritization of risk. Qualys uses TruRisk scores to assess assets and vulnerabilities based on real-world threat intelligence, active exploitation signals, and business context. This approach is designed to help teams focus on critical issues rather than managing high volumes of alerts. Vulnerabilities are validated using safe payloads through workflows involving Agent Val and TruConfirm.

The partnership addresses the challenge of shrinking gaps between vulnerability discovery and exploitation. Security teams currently face alert volumes that exceed human management capacity. The agentic AI approach aims to enable intelligent agents to observe, reason, and act at machine speed while keeping humans involved in critical decision points. Qualys stated that its participation reflects its view on the direction of enterprise security operations.

Cisco employs about 2,000 people in Richardson, according to local government records.
