The Garland Cultural Arts Commission has opened the submission window for the fourth annual Art Vibe juried art exhibition. The event is open to visual artists residing in Garland and the broader North Texas region.
Participants can compete for a total of $1,000 in prize money. The top honor, the Best of Show award, carries a value of $200. The commission states that the exhibition aims to provide a venue for local and regional artists to display their work and receive monetary recognition for their achievements.
Artists wishing to participate must submit their entries by Friday, July 24. Following the close of the submission period, a juror will review the materials and select the works that will be featured in the show. The names of the selected artists will be made public on July 31.
The exhibition is scheduled to be open to the public from August 12 through September 13. Garland is located approximately 6 miles southeast of Richardson.
Further details regarding submission guidelines and the exhibition are available through the commission. Additional information on how to submit work can be found on the official Art Vibe website.
