Sazon De Loa, a Mexican restaurant situated on Renner Road in Plano, has seen a significant influx of patrons after the owner’s 15-year-old daughter, Leslie De Loa, posted a request for support on TikTok. The establishment, which specializes in authentic cuisine prepared by chef and owner Rafael De Loa, was nearly forced to close just last month due to insufficient foot traffic.
The sudden turnaround began when Leslie shared a video pleading for community assistance to save her family’s business.
Leslie De Loa’s message highlighted the hard work her father has put into the restaurant and asked followers to visit for food and drinks. The post gained traction after being shared by TikToker Bucky Wild Child, who has more than 110,000 followers and had dined at the Renner Road location earlier in the week.
The combination of the daughter’s honest appeal and the influencer’s reach drew customers from near and far to the restaurant.
Patrons have responded positively to the initiative, with some noting they were surprised by the large crowds but willing to endure longer wait times for quality meals. Customer Jhazmin Martinez stated she saw the video and decided to visit for a date night, while Jesus Martinez praised the food.
Diego Osorio admitted he was shocked by the volume of people but accepted the delay, and C.J. Nelson described the situation as a good problem to have.
