Trevon Diggs has joined the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This signing marks the second cornerback acquisition for the Seahawks this week, following the addition of Terrion Arnold, who is currently facing significant legal troubles in Florida.

At 27 years old, Diggs has made a name for himself in the NFL, recording 20 interceptions and defending 63 passes throughout his career. He is anticipated to compete for a spot in the Seahawks' secondary, which is currently managing several injuries.

Previously, Diggs had a five-year contract extension worth $97 million with the Cowboys, signed in July 2023. However, he participated in only 22 of 51 possible regular-season games over the next three seasons.

His tenure with the Cowboys concluded after a series of events, including an unusual incident at home where he reported that a television fell on him, resulting in a lengthy absence in 2025.

The Cowboys released Diggs after he expressed a desire to stay in the Washington, D.C. area with his family following a Christmas Day game, a request that was denied by the team. He was then claimed off waivers by the Green Bay Packers shortly after his departure from Dallas. Details regarding Diggs' future role with the Seahawks and the organization’s plans for him remain undisclosed.
