As the regular season nears, the Houston Texans have made significant roster moves, including the addition of Jadeveon Clowney and Mario Edwards to bolster their defense. However, the team has not prioritized changes to its wide receiver lineup, opting instead to depend on younger players already in place.

Recent free agency developments have seen top wide receivers like Deebo Samuel, Stefon Diggs, and Keenan Allen join other teams, limiting Houston's options. While Tyreek Hill remains unsigned, concerns over his recovery from a torn ACL injury make his signing unlikely.

Other available receivers such as Curtis Samuel, Brandin Cooks, Tyler Lockett, and DeAndre Hopkins may not provide the desired boost to the Texans' depth chart.

The Texans are likely to stick with their current wide receivers, including Nico Collins as a potential WR1 and Jayden Higgins as a possible WR2. Players like Jaylin Noel and Xavier Hutchinson are expected to contribute, along with a healthy Tank Dell. Despite not securing a major signing, the Texans' front office seems confident in their existing group.

With over $20 million in cap space, they retain the ability to make moves if needed, but the chances of adding a significant wide receiver before the season appear low.
