German software company SAP plans to combine its North Texas operations in a single Addison office, moving about 1,000 employees from its office in Plano and from SAP Concur's office in Allen, the Town of Addison announced Thursday.

The company will lease space at Spectrum Center, 5080 Spectrum Drive, and expects the office to open in mid-2027. Addison said the site will hold regional business operations and software development, plus a center where business customers can see and test SAP products, including its artificial intelligence tools.

On Oct. 13, Addison's council approved an incentive deal for SAP: as much as $500,000 as a grant toward capital investment, plus further incentives tied to performance, according to the town. The announcement did not say what targets SAP must meet to earn them.

Acram Group, which owns Spectrum Center, has put about $30 million into building improvements and tenant amenities, the town said.

Michael May, managing director of SAP's U.S. South Market Unit, said the company wanted a space built around its employees, customers and communities. Wayne Emerson, Addison's economic development director, said the move reflects the town's success in drawing enterprise technology firms to the lower Dallas North Tollway, where Google, ServiceNow, Hitachi Digital Services, Tanium and Topaz Labs already have operations.

SAP makes software businesses use to run finance, human resources and supply chains. The announcement did not say what will happen to the Plano and Allen office space or whether any jobs will be added in the move. Colliers represented SAP in the lease, and HPI represented the building's owner.
