The Dallas Cowboys have secured Von Miller, who leads the NFL in active career sacks, by signing him to a one-year contract. Miller announced his excitement through an Instagram post, stating, "Hereee Weee Gooo."
Hailing from DeSoto, Texas, located about 25 minutes south of Dallas, Miller has a strong connection to the region, having also played college football at Texas A&M. Entering his 15th NFL season, he previously played for the Washington Commanders, where he achieved 26 tackles and nine sacks in 17 games last year.
Miller is a two-time Super Bowl champion, having earned titles with the Denver Broncos in 2015 and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. He was selected second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Broncos and has also played for the Buffalo Bills.
With a total of 138.5 career sacks, Miller is tied for 13th place all-time, alongside Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware, a former Cowboy.
Over 203 games, Miller has recorded 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles. His career accolades feature eight Pro Bowl selections and three First Team All-Pro honors. The Cowboys will kick off their 2026 regular season on September 13 against the New York Giants in a Sunday Night Football matchup.
